We’re deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Former Waukegan Main Street Board President Jamie O’Meara. She was a tireless advocate for the City of Waukegan and especially Waukegan Main Street! She was a good spirit and kind soul! Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult transition.
Owner Trina Torres ofLive Free Boutique had the opportunity to talk with students at Webster Middle School! Recently we had the opportunity to catch up with Trina and listen to her experience.
Torres spoke about being an entrepreneur, becoming a leader and not a follower, and standing up for what you believe in! Trina’s approach with the students was to be as open and honest as possible, as she explained, “I wanted to share some of my personal story with you and show that you can, in fact, overcome adversity.”
Trina also spoke about following your dreams and pursuing them in adult life. She highlighted expressing yourself, and that she is an artist with a love of music, art, writing, creating, building, dance and modeling.
Looking for that good summer deal? Visit Trina at Live Free Boutique located at 100 South Genesee St in the South Genesee Merchants Block of downtown Waukegan!
