The Migrant Quilt Project is a grassroots, collaborative effort of artists, quilt makers, and activists to express compassion for migrants from Mexico and Central America who died in the Southern Arizona deserts on their way to create better lives for themselves and their families. Materials used in the quilts were collected at migrant layup sites used for rest and shelter on established trails in the Sonoran Desert. This time it will be set in Waukegan in the year 2018. Are the hairs standing up on the back of your neck? Come to the show, it’s safe at the Theatre. Really.

The Northside/Southside Players present a live radio theater re-creation of the 1932-33 Marx Brothers comedy radio program “Flywheel, Shyster, and Flywheel!” The Players will perform two hilarious half-hour scripts from the 1932-33 radio series–“A Reward for Foo Foo” and “Ravelli, the Jailbird”– plus additional dialogue written by David Drazin. Both shows will also feature music from the original Marx Brothers’ movies and TV shows, performed by the cast!
