Downtown Waukegan becomes the cultural hub and envy of the North Shore on the third Saturday of every month. There are galleries and venues in the Arts & Entertainment District with classic and modern art. All have pieces for sale, but if you are not in the buying mode you can always practice your critiquing.
Several of the galleries and venues serve complimentary refreshments. If you are in the mood for something more satiating, all of the downtown restaurants are open for business and feature full bars, full menus and excellent staff.
